Handcrafted in Kyiv Since 2010 | The CapsHatsUA Story

We've been making hats in Kyiv for over 15 years. That's longer than most trends last, which is exactly the point — we're not chasing what's fashionable for a season. We're crafting pieces that hold up year after year, the kind you reach for without thinking because they just work.
My name is Dmytro. This started as a family workshop, really — a small operation where we could control every step from material selection to the final stitch. We specialize in caps and hats, working primarily with fur, leather, wool, and premium fabrics. Newsboy caps, baker boys, berets, cloches, flat caps. Each style has its own technical requirements, and we've spent years figuring out exactly how to construct them properly.
Here's what matters to us: The fit has to be right. The materials need to age well. And the construction should be solid enough that you're not replacing it next season. We're not interested in making disposable fashion — there's enough of that already. Instead, we focus on headwear that becomes part of your rotation because it's reliable.
Our process is straightforward. We source materials from suppliers we've worked with for years — people who understand what we're looking for in terms of quality and consistency. Then we cut, shape, and stitch each piece in our Kyiv workshop. No mass production lines, no outsourcing to factories we've never visited. Just us, the materials, and the work itself.
Being based in Ukraine during these times adds complexity, obviously. Supply chains shift. Power isn't always stable. But we've adapted, and the work continues. There's something meaningful about maintaining this craft here, in this place, despite everything. It's not just about selling hats — though we need to do that to survive — it's about showing that Ukrainian artisans are still creating, still working, still here.
What we've learned over 15 years: People can tell the difference between something made with care and something churned out on an assembly line. They can feel it in how a cap sits on their head, see it in how the materials wear over time. And increasingly, they're choosing quality over quantity — which is exactly the shift we've been counting on.
Your support keeps this workshop running. Every purchase directly contributes to our family business and to Ukraine's economy during a period when that matters more than ever. We're grateful for it — genuinely. Not in a marketing-speak way, but in the sense that each order allows us to continue doing work we care about.
We keep expanding our collection because there's always something new to explore in terms of design and materials. Visit our store regularly if you're interested — we add pieces as we complete them. Whether you need something practical for winter weather, a distinctive piece for your wardrobe, or a gift with some substance behind it, we're confident you'll find it here.
The future? We'll keep making hats. We'll keep refining our techniques. And we'll keep sharing what we create with people who appreciate craftsmanship over convenience. Your feedback helps us improve, and your orders make it possible to continue. That's the arrangement, and it works for us.
Thanks for reading this far, and thanks for considering our work. It means more than we can adequately express in an "About Us" page.
